Tomlinson offers a rich, multi-dimensional resource with three distinct furniture companies: Tomlinson brand, Directional and Carter. The company has a remarkably strong history as a designer driven company, dating at least back to the first designs of KC Lambeth in 1948. She was a partner in the founding of Tomlinson’s parent company, Erwin-Lambeth.
Today the company offers original works from some of the field's freshest designers, including Diane Granda and Scott Carpenter. And we proudly offer longtime classics from Larry Laslo, Vladimir Kagan, and even classics from K.C. Lambeth herself.

The furniture Tomlinson builds looks amazing and sits like a dream. And it also satisfies complicated design requirements. An early commitment to design flexibility was made when Kay Lambeth pioneered the “inch by inch” concept in the late 1940’s. That same design flexibility endures at Tomlinson today in the Preferred program.
